Mapogo Chuene Lifestyle Annual Golf Challenge – 17th May 2024
MaxProf proudly participated in the esteemed Mapogo Chuene Lifestyle Annual Golf Challenge on the 17th of May 2024. The event was held at the magnificent Blue Valley Golf & Country Estate in Centurion, this event aimed to blend business networking with philanthropy, supporting disadvantaged communities and struggling non-profit organisations in Pretoria.
The tournament welcomed players of all skill levels from across the provinces, fostering a friendly atmosphere for everyone involved. The key objective of the tournament was to raise funds for a primary school in disadvantaged communities around Pretoria South and to support the “Badirammogo Old Age Home” in Olievenhoutbosch, where senior citizens face the threat of displacement. MaxProf contributed R6000 towards this initiative, reinforcing its commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. The funds raised from the event will go a long way in providing much-needed support to these beneficiaries, ensuring they receive the care and resources they deserve.
“An act of kindness can heal any broken soul,” is the mantra that resonated throughout the event, reminding everyone of the impact their contributions can have. MaxProf’s participation and sponsorship in the Annual Golf Challenge exemplify the company’s dedication to community upliftment and support for the vulnerable.
Buggers Golf Association Inaugural Golf Day – 24th May 2024
Continuing its Charitable Swing , MaxProf supported the Buggers Golf Association’s Inaugural Golf Day on the 24th of May 2024 at the East London Golf Club. Founded by young professionals and entrepreneurs passionate about golf, the association aims to advance junior golf in Buffalo City, particularly for young golfers from underprivileged communities.
According to Anathi Wulushe from the Daily Dispatch, the decision to hold the event was made at their AGM in December. The goal was to fundraise and raise awareness for junior golf development, addressing the disparities in the sport and fostering inclusivity. “Golf has not yet diversified, but it is getting there, and junior golf is what holds the future for diverse and more inclusive golf,” Mlambo said.
The event, featuring a 4 ball alliance format with a scramble drive, aimed to raise awareness and funds for junior golf development. Proceeds supported young golfers from underprivileged backgrounds, helping them access the sport without feeling disadvantaged.
